Spam & Shenanigans Guidelines (Updated 2/6/14)

Here are a set of rules enforced by staff on the Spam & Shenanigans board. These rules are put in place to more or less get any potential confusion that we can think of out of the way. With a board like this, many privileges may be unintentionally implied, like for instance, that spamming gives people the right to harass, or disregard the OP's wishes. This is not true. Also keep in mind, that some of these rules are simply reminders of rules previously stated in the Fun Allowed Official Guidelines.

1. If you're going to spam, spam here.

I know you might find it silly that I'm still stressing this, but I know that previously, some of you have gotten the impression that spamming is all that Fun Allowed is for. It's not. So if you want to spam, keep in mind that there's a place for it; here. If I see more and more spam outside of this board, I'll probably resort to deleting them instead of moving them here.

2. Spamming does not mean you are permitted to harass, personally insult, or essentially be an all around asshole. Basically, rules not surrounding spamming and Forum Misconduct still apply.

Not to be confused with play-fighting, just because you can spam here, doesn't mean you can troll (if you can call it that). Posting explicit content is also still strictly prohibited.

3. What the OP (original poster) says is what goes. Going against the OP's wishes of how a thread is run here is not permitted.

We have a term that is included as one of the report reasons listed; party crashing. If the OP says not to preform forum misconduct in his or her thread, you are therefore not allowed to preform forum misconduct in the thread. This includes page stretching, and multi-posting. Doing so would be to commit the act of party crashing. However, the OP is NOT permitted to lift ALL Fun Allowed guidelines. Just because the OP says it's okay to post pornographic imagery in the thread doesn't make it allowed. All in all, it is encouraged the OPs provide a brief list of rules to their thread. You can use a rule template here to put on the footer of your OP, if you so like.

4. Do not post multiple threads as a form of spamming. As in, don't make a thread wall to push all other threads down. I shouldn't have to explain this one.
