| So I was at Disc Replay, which is a local media resale chain in my area, and found a cable that on one end is a Gameboy Advance connection cable, and on the other end is a USB for a computer. I had always thought these existed, based on a set of chargers my friend had that use a similar set-up for a Gameboy Advance SP or Classic DS charger, but was amazed to actually find one. Now that I have it, though, I'm not actually sure what I can actually do with it. I assume the intended purpose was to allow for cheaters and hackers to have a faster way of modifying codes, since the Gameboy Advance has such a tedious input system, especially given the complexity of the codes. I'm curious, though, if there are other things I can do with it. Do you think this can be used to have an emulator connect with a Gameboy Advance? The product's back says the following: - Quote :
- The shape and design of this
product is a tradedress of Mad Catz, Inc. (C) 2004 www.madcatz.com GBA SP Game Save Cable Item # 2844 Made in China Here is a picture from an eBay bid that someone else was running. They sold it for twenty dollars. I managed to get mine for eight. My computer regards the product as "(c) BLAZE 2003 GBA Cable1.0", and installs the driver automatically. A green light appears on the device when plugged in. It is apparently HID-compliant, whatever that means. It may only be an input device, which may limit what it can do. Does anyone have information that may help determine what advantages this device gives me, if any? | |

| It'd be really neat if you could import and export roms from a cartridge with it, but even if it were possible, it'd probably take extensive modding, and even then, a special type of cartridge to utilize it properly. | |
