I think you're mistaking advertising with spamming. There's absolutely nothing wrong with getting the word out about your website. We don't intend on doing something petty like using popups, messaging random people, and preaching false facts about our forums.

I think the big reason this place blows is because; like Mana said, there's no real main attraction. It's a car with no horsepower, really.

But what exactly should we make this forum be about? A fan forum obviously, but what of? What is the most promising/most diverse fandom that will most likely flock pleasant and well rounded users?

I almost want to say furries and animal crossing.

And how exactly do you propose you bring those two groups together? Furthermore, SHOULD we? What do you mean, exactly? The Tumblr community and 4chan community is a big generality to make.

Also, to be quite honest, I can't help but feel that the no porn allowed rule really robs us from a bit of opportunity for Fun Allowed, dang forummotion.

I don't really think the same applies with us. What you're essentially proposing is to make this forum into an all out social-networking site, which I don't know if that's even POSSIBLE.

The common interests of Tumblr and 4chan? What does that even mean exactly? The common interest of tumblr and 4chan lie within people's own personal interests. It's a hive; a super-organism. People go to 4chan and tumblr for the community and content, which is made and shared by the community. People can talk about just about anything SFW here on Fun Allowed. The problem isn't to open up to variety, socially. The problem is to how to grab people's attention.

Fun is allowed. People can have fun the same way people can have fun on Chao Island without the asinine restrictions, but it's hard to have fun when there's hardly anyone around.

A forum like this would only work if you get a good 100 people to post on it like at the same time to build the foundation i think. FUall lacks the foundation.
